Does your hips hurt?
The hip is a weight-bearing joint, so hip pain is a common problem yet can sometimes be difficult to identify the cause, as many conditions can produce similar symptoms. Common causes include arthritis, bursitis, stress fractures, and referred pain from the lower back.
It is important to make an accurate diagnosis of the cause of your symptoms so that appropriate treatment can be directed at the underlying problem. Hip joint can be the source of pain, but it can be a common site for referred pain from the spine, pelvis, and the groin.
Hip pain can result from structural problems within the ball-and-socket joint or damage to the surrounding cartilage. We look for these structural problems, as well as congenital hip conditions and other referred pain sources, to treat and diagnose. At MSR, our multidisciplinary team will examine your condition from various aspects and order the correct diagnostic test to curate an effective treatment plan.
